As a final farewell to the previous-gen model, the “ultimate analog Vantage” serves as a fitting send-off.
The V8 Vantage V600, Aston Martin’s supercharged V8 Vantage V600, was the fastest production car of its time when it launched in 1998. The “V600”, two decades later, is being brought back to life in a final hurrah for the previous-generation Vantage. It’s based on the V12 model and offers a naturally-aspirated 592 horsepower, which is channeled to the roads via a seven speed manual gearbox.
Q by Aston Martin has created the latest Gaydon special, which consists of seven coupes and seven roadster models. All 14 cars will be finished in full carbon fiber. The cars will be a tribute to the 1998 model with a bulging roof and a revised side-strake. A darkened front grille was specifically designed for the V600.
A completely reworked carbon fibre diffuser was installed at the back of the V12 engine. It also includes the quad exhaust tips. The V12 Vantage V600’s centerlock-forged and machined aluminum wheels complete the exterior changes.
Aston Martin continues the carbon fiber theme inside the cabin, where they have also used dark anodized aluminium to spice it up. The lightweight, body-hugging seat has received a new perforation design. The central armrest is covered in handcrafted saddle leather and the gear shifter for seven-speed manual is made from solid.
Aston Martin is taking orders for V12 Vantage V600. Customers will be able to order the vehicle in the third quarter. Gaydon has already stated that they are considering incorporating the DB11’s biturbo v12 into the new-generation Vantage. However, we will have to wait to see if it happens.
