Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Professional Breaks Cover with 1,000 Horsepower

The downforce of the track-only car is twice that of the road car.

After an online unofficial image of the wild Valkyrie version was posted, Aston Martin quickly reacted and teasedthe new Valkyrie hypercar. It turns out that the AMR Pro is the one in question. We first saw it at the Geneva Motor Show three years ago. We are now looking at production versions of that concept.

Comparable to Version 2018 The final specification of Valkyrie AMR Pro eliminates the hybrid setup in order to reduce weight. The output drops from 1,100+ horsepower to 1,000 hp, which is the combined output of the concept’s 1,100+ horsepower. The engine was built by Cosworth and revs at 11,000 rpm. It is considered the “masterpiece in internal combustion.”Aston Martin has created a carbon-fiber body and carbon suspension wishbones. The track-only machine’s performance is further enhanced by the Perspex windscreen, side windows and perspex windscreen. It has twice the downforce of a road-going Valkyrie thanks to its extreme aero package, which allows for lateral accelerations greater than 3G.Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Professional Breaks Cover with 1,000 Horsepower

The overall length of the car has increased by 380mm (15 inches) and has been stretched 266 millimeters (10.5 in) more than the street-legal one. The front and rear tracks have been made wider (+96mm and +115mm, respectively), and the underbody has had its airflow optimized. These modifications, according to Aston Martin, help the Valkyrie AMR Pro deliver an “extraordinary level of downforce.” This was also possible due to fine-tuning overwing airflow.

Gaydon-based marque says it will release technical specifications in the coming months. It also mentions that the company is aiming to run a lap of the Le Mans circuit within 3 minutes and 20 seconds. This would make the Valkyrie ProMR Pro twice as fast as LMP1 racecars around the Circuit de la Sarthe, which measures 8.5 miles.

There will only be 40 cars built, plus two prototypes. All of them will come in left-hand drive specification. The fourth quarter of 2021 is the expected date for first customer deliveries.
