The new styling of the cars is enhanced with upgraded engines and an improved appearance
Audi has unveiled the refreshed A3 and S3 lineups.
The models are instantly recognisable with a new front fascia and a revised grille. They are flanked by restyled Xenon+ headlights. A new rear diffuser has been added to the car, as well as slightly revised taillights. The car also features an expanded color palette and optional matrix LED headlights.
Although the interior is largely unchanged, drivers will notice a new 3-spoke steering wheel as well as an upgraded MMI system infotainment with simplified menus. A new Audi virtual cockpit system can be ordered by customers. It features a 12.3 inch TFT display and is located in the instrument cluster.
Technology is a key feature of the new A3 facelift. It can now be fitted with a traffic jam assist system that automatically drives the car up to 40 mph. An active lane assist system can be ordered by buyers.
A variety of engines are available under the hood. There are many options:
A brand new TFSI three-cylinder 1.0-liter TFSI with 115 horsepower & 147 pound-feet torque
TFSI 1.4-liter with 150 horsepower and 184 lb-ft torque
TFSI 2.0 with 190 horsepower and 236 lb-ft torque
A 1.6-liter TDI with 110 hp
A 2.0-liter TDI engine with 150 hp, 250 lbft torque and 184 hp.

The A3 Sportback E-tron is a plug-in hybrid powertrain which consists of a TFSI engine (1.4-liter), an electric motor and an 8.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. Buyers who are looking for something greener can choose the A3 Sportback. The model can produce a maximum combined output of 204 horsepower.
The A3 Sportback G-tron is available for customers who are interested in natural gas. It is powered by a 1.4-liter TFSI bifuel engine that produces 110 horsepower.
The facelifted S3 comes with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine, which produces up to 310 horsepower and 295 lbft of torque.
The new A3/S3 lineup will be available for purchase next month. First deliveries are scheduled for the summer. Prices in Germany start at EUR23,000.
