Audi A4 Allroad May Be Heading Stateside

Audi could try again for a allroad quattro wagon in the US. The new Audi A4 allroad was introduced in Europe a few weeks back. The Audi A4 allroad quetro will be available in Europe this summer at prices starting from 37,100 euros.

Audi could be bringing the allroad quattro back to North America after it pulled the model from the market in 2005.

Peter Schwarzenbauer is the head of sales and marketing for Audi AG. He stated that SUVs are not as popular in America and Canada, and the allroad quattro (an all-wheel-drive wagon) may be able to find a market.

Audi A4 Allroad May Be Heading Stateside

Audi sold the allroad in North America as an A6-based model from 2000 to 2005, but it was forced to withdraw the vehicle due to low sales. The model sold 2,429 units in its final year.

Schwarzenbauer does not say if the allroad quattro Audi will be sold in the US as the A4 or the A6 models, or both. Audi might import both wagons and cross-overs, as customers may now choose wagons over SUVs. Audi launched the A4 Allroad just a few weeks back for the European market.

This summer, the Audi A4 Allroad Quattro will be available in Europe. Prices start at 37,100 Euros for the base version.
