Audi A5 Coupe E-Tron Rendering Imagines A Sleek Two-Door EV

Audi A5 Coupe E-Tron Rendering Imagines A Sleek Two-Door EVAudi should build it.

The Audi e-Tron collection is expanding. At the moment, there are six models available. There are six models to choose from: the e-Tron GT and RS e-Tron GT. More EVs will be available, however, due to the German automaker’s efforts for electrification.

Audi unveiled the A6 eTron Quattro concept in 2013. It was essentially a preview of the next-generation electric Audi A6. It also demonstrated that the company will continue to use the same design language. This was followed by the Avant e-Tron quattro design, which was also shown earlier in this week.

These two concepts should give an idea of what the rest e-Tron range could look like over the next few years. Based on the current design language, digital (re)designer X-Tomi Design created a rendering of an electric Coupe.

This render is called the A5 Coupe e-Tron Concept by the artist. It looks similar to the A6 Avant eTron Quattro and A6 Avant eTron Quattro front ends. It fits Audi’s corporate style in some ways, as the company has been doing this for many years. It retains the steeply-raked windshield of the original concept, which suits the profile and proportions of a 2-door.

The A-pillar is replaced by a dramatic curve with its high beltline, low roof and sleek exterior. Its fender bulges, a nod to past Audi models, are also a nod to the past. It is also noteworthy that X-Tomi retained the A5’s iconic rear window shape for this render. It’s up to the viewer to decide if this car is stunning or derivative.

If the automaker makes it, it will be a valuable addition to the Audi e-Tron range. Production is unlikely at this time. Audi didn’t mention the possibility of adding an electric 2-door in the future. It would be a pleasant surprise, however, if the company approves the idea.
