Expect a 2022 debut.
The updated Audi A8 is now in the rearview mirror. This means that the German automaker will be focusing its efforts on the smaller A6. We get a fresh set of spy photos that shows the new sedan. It’s not an entry-level model. Audi hides the changes in the car’s design under camouflage wraps.
It looks like Audi The tips of the A6 were covered in camouflage to hide the majority of the changes that the company will make to the front- and rear fascias. The A6 will not undergo a radical redesign like the A8 .The A8’s redesign was manageable . Although the headlights seem to be in their current form, they need to have a new interior design. A modified grille and intakes could be added to the front, as well as a massaged bumper.
The rear will see subtler changes. Don’t let the camouflage mislead you. New taillight graphics and a new bumper will be added. The S-Line badge is displayed on the fenders of this test vehicle, which signifies that it’s sportier and more expensive than your regular A6. We expect that Audi will make only small changes inside, most likely to the infotainment systems.
Audi’s delicate hand will also make its way into the engine bay. The updated A6 will continue to use the current generation of powertrains. Although the company may make some tweaks to its engine lineup, don’t expect any surprises when it debuts. The refreshed Audi A6 will debut next year, and it will be available as a 2023 model. Audi may have several new bumper designs for its refreshed model. We’ll be watching for spy shots of a non-Select trim to see if we can find them.
