Audi describes the series as a “promising chance in motorsport” and says it is “of interest”. Although there are many details to work out, the series could launch by 2016.
Scott Keogh, President of Audi of America, stated that Audi has a long and proud history in American motorsport. We are currently exploring options to make the four rings more visible on American racetracks. The news of a US DTM is fantastic. He said, “The Audi RS models in America are very popular. I am certain that customers will love to see the Audi RS5 DTM in action.
