Audi also trademarked the name.

Audi will soon launch a new crossover, which will be below the crossover. This EV, the Q6 etron, is scheduled for the 2023 model-year. Recent developments suggest that a high-performance version will soon be available. According to Motor.es a Spanish publication found a document showing Audi registering the name RSQ6. Audi could be preparing its first electric crossover, with RS attached to its name. A render of the potential performance EV shows what it could look like if Audi goes ahead with the plan.

This image was based on latest spy shots and design elements from other Audi RS model. It also gets large corner intakes that are similar to the RS6 or RS7 and a closed-off grille. Curiously, this render does not include the split headlight design that was seen in the latest batch of spy photos. This render is not the final product design and might have some differences. Don’t get too excited. A trademark registration does not necessarily mean that Audi will build the model. Audi might have registered the name rights, but it won’t be using it at the moment. This is an interesting development and something that you should keep an eye on in the next months. The RSQ6 could produce 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts), and 612 pound-feet (830 Nm) of torque, just like the RS e-Tron GT.

The standard Q6 will be built using the PPE architecture. This platform will be used by several models within the Volkswagen Auto Group. The chassis will be used by the Porsche EV, and the Audi e-Tron.
