Audi’s electric Q4 Etron is customizable more than you might think.
The Audi presented the Q4 Etron at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and made big promises about its range, performance, livability, and comfort. The Q4 E-Tron’s headlights were its greatest promise. Audi will offer Q4 E-Tron customers 25 styles of taillights and headlights when they begin placing orders in 2020.
Interview with Autocar Marc Lichte, the Audi design boss, stated that the Audi Q4 E-Tron is the first car to allow you to modify the headlights and taillights. There are 25 options to choose from so you may never see two identical Q4 E-Trons.
E-Tron’s new checkerboard pattern is available for owners. Or they can choose from a variety of other patterns. All this is possible thanks to LED lighting technology that allows for the manipulation and clever bend of lighting surfaces.
The Q4 E-Tron has a wide range of lighting options. It also uses two electric motors: one at the front and one at the back. It retains Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive, which is a faster way to distribute torque. Audi claims a system output of around 300 horsepower (224 KiloWatts), and a 0-60 speed of just 6.3 seconds.
Audi’s MEB electric car platform is used to transport the Q4 E-Tron. It houses an 82-kW battery in its underbody. Audi claims that this battery can travel 280 miles, and it can be charged quickly in 30 minutes.
Audi’s Etron Versus All Other EV Competitors:
Because the MEB platform is made up of drivetrain components as well as the battery, it offers more design flexibility. Audi designers were able to be more imaginative with exterior shapes and dimensions, while still allowing for more interior space.
Audi is relying on the Q4 E-Tron’s success and the larger E-Tron SUV to succeed. Audi has the best chance to make serious profits from their new electric cars, with the luxury SUV market experiencing a boom.
