According to some, the four-door TT will replace the A3 Sportback or A5 Sportback.
Audi’s premium market lineup covers many segments, but there are new rumors coming from Germany’s Auto Bild that the Four Rings may have two new offerings by next year. In late 2020, the long-awaited Q9 is expected to arrive. Contrary to previous speculation, indicates that the Q9 will be a large three-row crossover designed to compete with the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GTS. You might get an RS version with 592 horsepower (441 kilowatts).
There have been rumors about the Q9 for years. Audi already owns a trademark for the name. However, earlier speculation had suggested that the company wanted the model in a coupe-like shape (rendered below). Another model that is being rumored for the AudiTT is another. Auto Bild resurrects the story of a four-door (rendered below). The vehicle is expected to replace the HTML3 Sportback, HTML5 Sportback by 2021. The TT sedan’s design is similar to the Audi Quattro, with a flat roof and boxy fender flares. According to the report, the powertrain options include electrified and full EV options.
It is clear that the TT will no longer be available in coupe or roadster form after the current generation ends. There is much speculation about what Audi plans to do with the nameplate. An old rumor suggested that the Four Rings could use an electric crossover. The lineup would also include a vehicle similar to the current TT. Bram Schot (Audi’s chairman of its board of management), confirmed that an electric model would fill the same niche in their lineup in 2019.
