Yeah…it’s fast.
The AudiR8 deserves praise. It is expected to rise and glow. For many reasons, it’s the everyday supercar. It is powerful and comfortable, as comfortable as any two-seat sports car. And it doesn’t lack modern amenities. You can enjoy the cabin all day without having to make an appointment with a chiropractor right away. The R8 is luxuriously appointed with the most advanced Audi interiors, but it also delivers incredible performance.
Mid-engined HTML10 Plus comes with a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 that produces 610 horsepower and 413 pounds-feet. The R8 V10 Plus can reach 60 mph in 3.2 seconds thanks to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The top speed is 207 miles an hour (333 km per hour). This is an excellent speed.
These are just numbers, so it is hard to see how fast the R8 Plus is. AutoTopNL has released a video that shows how fast the R8 V10 Plus is in real life. It takes it to its maximum speed. Although it is not possible to achieve the top speed in the first attempt of this run, it does come close.
The sprint to 62 mph (100.6 kph) takes only 3.2 seconds according to the screen timer. Then, 124 mph (220 kph), passes in just nine seconds and 186 mph (390 kph), in 26 seconds. This is how fast you would lose your license if that speed was done on an American highway. The driver then speeds off at 189 mph (304 km/h).
Once the R8 has reached its maximum speed, the top-speed run will be possible. AutoTopNL’s videos show that there is traffic around, so it makes sense that the driver could not reach top speed immediately. It can reach speeds of 207 mph (333 km/h) easily, so it shouldn’t surprise that the R8 is capable. This supercar is your everyday car, so it has supercar performance.
