This is a very sad announcement for fans of the lifted hot hatch.
Audi has a wide range of models, including sedans, wagons, SUVs and sports supercars. The RS models, however, are the most thrilling in the range. For enthusiasts who desire more power and performance in their otherwise practical Audis, the RS models are a great choice.
The RS range doesn’t just include sedans and wagons. The RS range also includes crossovers from Audi. One of the most recent is the Audi RS Q3 and a sleeker RS Q3 Sportback. These were launched in September 2019 for Europe. However, the U.S. market still wanted the more luxurious Q3.
A month after the European unveiling of the RS Q3, a ray of light shone on the optimistic. An earlier report appeared in October 2019, suggesting the RS Q3 could make its way into U.S. Audi showrooms if it sells well. Although it was wonderful news, it was short-lived.
According to a report from Motor Authority, Mark Dahncke, an Audi USA spokesperson, stated that the RS Q3 will not be sold in the United States.
Don’t expect the RS Q3 Sportback, however, to make it to the U.S. at this point. The coupe crossover has been a problem for American car buyers since its inception and will continue to be so.
This news does not mean that the 400-horsepower crossover will be available for American enthusiasts. However, it is important to remember that we still have the RS6 Avant. A little more premium should not be a problem if you have the money.
