Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S has been dismantled.
The rumors are true . Say hello to the Lord Of the Ring of SUVs. Officially, the Audi RS Q8 set a new record at the Nürnbergring for fastest production SUVs. It took 7 minutes and 42.2 seconds to beat the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63S.
This is It:
RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback. However, there is one more RS, as the Q8’s flagship model will be released later in the month.
This luxobarge sports will be powered by the twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 engine from the super wagon. It’ll have 592 horsepower and 590 pounds-feet (890 Newton-meters) of torque. The RS Q8 weighs almost as much as the moon and will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (306 km/h) in 3.8 seconds.
Autocar was able to see the Audi’s biggest and most sporty SUV yet. This vehicle will inherit the air suspension and 48V anti-roll bars of the warm which was released earlier in the year with a European diesel engine. You can get wheels up to 23 inches in size with 295/35 ZR23 Pirelli P Zero tires. There will also be torque-vectoring rear differentials and all-wheel steering. Audi Sport engineers will stiffen the suspension in order to make the RS Q8 faster around corners than the SQ8.
The styling changes to the RS version will be subtler than the Q8 versions. There will only be a discrete body kit and standard oval exhausts that have been revealed in spy shots. The RS version will have a sporty diffuser at the back and carbon fiber trim around its front grille. The driver’s dashboard has RS-specific screens, as well as a few other specialties reserved for the top.
With Audi confirming a November debut of the RS Q8, it is possible that we will see the fastest SUV created by the Four Rings at Los Angeles Auto Show in half-time.
