The sedan will also be eligible for the aftermarket package.
Manhart is back at it. The reputable tuner, who has worked on several BMW and Mercedes projects before, is now turning his attention to the other member Germany’s Big Three. It is now focusing on Audi and the RS3 pocket rocket. This vehicle will also get the iconic black look with gold accents. The “RS3 500” aftermarket package is in the works and will be available for the Sportback as well as the Sedan body styles.
Manhart is working overtime to give the 2.5 TFSI more power. To increase its output to 500 hp, the turbocharged inline five engine will receive an additional 100 hp. The turbocharged gasoline mill will breathe better thanks to a stainless-steel exhaust system with valve control that allows for the alteration of the sound on the fly.
A suspension lowering kit will bring the Audi RS3 pair closer to the road in Manhart style. The tuner will complete the package with 20-inch wheels in black and a gold pinstripe that echos the 1980s-inspired sticker above the windscreen. The interior has not yet been photographed, but you can expect some changes to the luxurious cabin.
The RS3 is expected to be as fast as a cheetah, with 500 horsepower. Audi USA claims a sprint time of 3.6 seconds to 60 mph (96 km/h for the Sedan) while its European division states that the Sportback can go 0-60 mph (100 km/h in 3.8 seconds).
This was hypercar territory a few decades back. This performance is possible in a four- to five-door family car, but it’s not necessarily lightweight for a compact car. We don’t think Audi will release another five-cylinder car in the future. The RS3 will be the last of its kind.
