It’s closer than what you might think.
Audi has a wide range of cars, which is similar to its German counterparts. These cars include daily commuters and more powerful versions that you can still drive every day. Audi’s S and RS models have made it a top choice for regular car buyers as well as those looking for speed.
Each Audi car is unique, depending on its size. And each Audi car comes with a price tag that reflects the number of horses it produces. How does the RS model compare in a drag racing?
CarWow features an interesting lineup in this recent drag race video posted over to its Youtube channel.
The RS5 is put to the test by the U.K.-based online car shopping website. It faces the RS3, S4, as well as an old RS4. Let’s first compare the numbers before you go to the video at the top of the page.
The S4 is the first. It is powered by a 3.0L turbodiesel V6 turbodiesel, producing 347 horsepower (255 KiloWatts) as well as 516 pound-foot (516 Nm) of torque. It is the largest entry in this drag race at 4,023 pounds (1.825 kilograms).
The RS4, its older brother, is quite different to the current S4. The wagon is powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower (309 kW) & 317 lbft (430 Nm). It weighs in at 3,637 lbs (1.650 kg). It is the only car with a manual shift stick.
The RS5 is the largest and most powerful of all the group. It produces 450 horsepower (331 kW), and 443 lb/ft (600 Nm), from its 2.9L twin turbo V6. The vehicle is heavy at 3,792 lbs (1.720 kg).
The RS3 is at the opposite end of the scale, and it weighs only 3,373 lbs (1.530 kg). The 2.5L 5-cylinder engine produces 400 horsepower (294 kW) as well as 354 lbft (480 Nm), making it a respectable powerhouse.
Although the outcome is predictable based only on the numbers, it’s actually very close. To find out, watch the video at the top of this page.
