Audi RS5R by ABT Travels to Austrian Alps for Epic Photo Shoot

It will be at Geneva Motor Show but it looks even better in the mountains.

While there are many tuning companies around the globe, ABT is a fan of Audi. This creation, the RS5R, was announced last month . However, with new video from Audi showing the ABT-tuned ride through the beautiful Austrian Alps, it was compelled to offer a continuation.

Let’s start by recapping the RS5 R. ABT takes the RS5’s 2.9 liter biturbo engine and injects a little more power. The car produces 530 horsepower (395 kilowatts), and a massive 509 pound-feet (690 Newton meters) of torque. This is enough to propel the coupe to 62 MPH (100 Km/h) in just 3.6 seconds. It also puts it within the realms of supercar territory. ABT has added 21-inch wheels with fatter tires to help manage the power. The car is then lowered with height-adjustable springs, sport stabilizers, and lowered by ABT. A coilover kit for the car is in development.

ABT plans to build 50 RS5R models. This Nardo Gray example looks better than the green one we saw. It appears to be quite faster too. Auditography claims that the 0-100 km/h speed is just 3.37 seconds. However, we don’t know where or how this time was achieved. We do know that the photos and video the group captured of the ABT RS5-R are positively gorgeous, due in part to the beautiful winter-in-the-mountains backdrop but mostly to the talented folks behind the cameras.
