The five-cylinder engine will live on.
Audi is not wasting any time. It introduced the Q3 Sportback two months ago. Now we see it in RS attire alongside the RSQ3. The Ingolstadt team has released a promotional video showing the five-cylinder dynamic duo. It allows us to see the Audi Sport baby RS SUVs inside and out.
These are the top-of-the-line models. Just look at their bulging wheel arches and 21-inch alloys. These models are the best of the crop. Q3 The RS models are standard with LED taillights and headlights. However, you can go more extravagant and get matrix LED headlights with sequential turn signals.
The coupe-modified RS Q3 Sportback measures 45 millimeters (1.8 in) lower than the regular RS Q3 while having a different shoulder line. This makes the body appear more muscular. You’ve probably noticed that the RS Q3 now has dual oval exhaust tips, as opposed to the one-piece original.
The Q3 lineup also features the first body-hugging seats in black leather and Alcantara, with integrated headrests. Unfortunately, the RS models do not have the secondary touchscreen for climate control like the larger and more expensive Audis. This means that you will still need to use physical buttons and knobs. Despite this, some people may prefer the traditional layout to the digitalized one.
The legendary turbocharged five cylinder engine that powers both RS Q3s produces the same power as the TT RS or RS3 Sportback, 394 horsepower (294 kilowatts), and 354 poundfeet (480 Newton meters). Rumours circulated that Audi engineers would extract more power. However, this is not true. A potential RS Q3 / RS Q3 Sportsback Performance could increase the power ante a little in a few years.
The RS Q3 will be available in Europe next month, and the RS Q3’s swoopy sibling by the end of the year. The regular SUV starts at EUR63,500 in Germany. The “coupe” version is EUR1,500 higher.
