It takes 3.4 seconds for a car this large and heavy to reach 62 mph (100 km/h). This is amazing.
Audi Sport understands SUVs have become a hot commodity. This is why it has increased its product line to include the RSQ3 / RSQ3 Sportback, SQ7 / RSQ8 and other models. The Four Rings also know that sedans are still a popular choice, so they haven’t abandoned the traditional body style.
The S8 is the ultimate Audi sedan. The S8 combines the elegance and panache of an Ingolstadt sedan with the powertrain you would expect from a sports car. The twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 produces 571 horsepower and 800 Newton meters (590 pound-feet of torque), but the ABT German tuners have tweaked the powertrain to get even more.
It is a super sedan that produces 700 horsepower and 880 Nm (649lb-ft) of torque. This allows for a sprint from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h), in just 3.4 seconds. If the has the optional ceramic brakes, the car will reach 168 mph (270 km/h). These numbers are impressive when you consider the car’s dimensions and weight: 5179mm (17ft) and 2,230 kg (4,916 lbs).
ABT did more than upgrade the V8, it also installed custom 21-inch alloy wheels and a carbon fiber trunk spoiler. These subtle visual changes are intended to let Audi S8 enthusiasts know they’re not looking at a regular Audi S8. We don’t have images of the interior, but we know that the start/stop button is covered in ABT branding and the gearbox lever cover.
Audi has not yet said anything about whether another Plus will be made. ABT, however, is currently offering a replacement.
