The A4 (B9) comes standard with Xenon Plus Headlights. However, you can also get LED or these matrix clusters of LEDs. These low-beam LED clusters, which look like an eye and require only 20 watts of power, have 11 light diodes and resemble an eye. The full beam is created by twelve LEDs with three reflectors. It depends on the data from the camera mounted to the interior mirror. The control unit can switch them individually and can dim the diodes in any of the 64 stages.

Audi claims this allows the matrix LED headlights distribute light in many million combinations that all provide optimal lighting and don’t disturb traffic. As the headlights learn from the sat nav, the cornering function can be activated before the driver steers.

The matrix LED headlights also have dynamic turn signals that activate multiple light diodes sequentially from the inside and outside in the direction of the turn.
