The new Audi A3 Sedan will not be available until the 2022 model-year , according to Autos Direct. For the 2021 model year, The Four Rings will not be offering the compact four-door American car.

The New A3 Sedan debuts in April 2020 The hatchback version looks almost identical except for the trunk at its back. The design of the new generation is sharper than that of the hatchback model, especially at the front. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster measures 10.3 inches standard and 12.3 inches option. The center console incorporates a 10.1 inch infotainment screen.

The 2 022A3 Sedan features a 40 TFSI powertrain that drives either the front or both axles. The current information suggests that this setup is identical to the A4 40-TFSI. It uses a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder producing 188 horsepower (140kilowatts) and 236 pounds-feet (322 Newton-meters).

Audi confirms that the new S3 Sedan will also be available in the US for the model year 2022. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder increases the power output to 306 horsepower (228 kW) or 295 lb/ft (400 Nm). It also measures 0.6 inches less than the standard A3.

Audi has already shown the new A3 hatchback in Europe. It comes with two plugs-in hybrid powertrains. The availability of either one of these powertrains in the sedan is not yet known.
