The Audi TT RS is expected to be revealed in the first half this year.
The Audi TT RS is getting new details. They are expected to be released in the first half. After attending a quattro GmbH meeting, a user of the MotorTalk forums shared an interesting bit of information. The range-topping TT will be revealed in the coming months. It will still be powered by the turbocharged five cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. The motor will produce 395 horsepower in this latest application. It is likely to be sent to a quattro AWD system via a dual-clutch transmission.
In terms of performance, expect the 2016 Audi TT RS to run the 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 kilometers per hour) sprint in around four seconds and top out at an electronically-capped 155 mph (250 kph) top speed. The limiter may be increased to 174 mph (280 km/h) if there is an optional performance package. A TT RS Performance, which replaces the TT RS Plus, is also expected to be unveiled next year. It will have 415 hp (420 PS). The regular TT RS will reportedly not be revealed until April. The second half of the year will see deliveries at a price significantly higher than the TT S, which starts at $51,900 in the United States and EUR49,000.100 in Germany.
