But where is the Q7?

Meet the “new full-size class” of Audi. The German premium manufacturer describes its most luxurious and technologically advanced vehicles as the A8 and A7 Sportback. They are all available for purchase at Audi dealerships in Europe.

Over the past 12 months, the A8, A7 and A6 models have undergone a complete overhaul. They now benefit from new design language, advanced technologies and new powertrains. The three sedans share many tech modules thanks to constant technology transfer. These include the MMI touch responsive operating system, broad-based electrification system with standard mild hybrid system and new suspension components like the dynamic all-wheel driving.

The Q8 is the latest addition to the premium trio. With its attractive four-door body design and luxuriously-equipped cabin, it should appeal to “design-oriented buyers”. The European coupe-SUV is available now at a starting price EUR76,300, or EUR15,000.00 more than the base Q7. For now, the only engine available is a 3.0-liter six cylinder diesel with 282 horsepower (210 kW) e 443 lbft (600 Nm of torque). The U.S. version of the engine will be available in the fourth quarter.

It will be interesting for Audi to launch an even more luxurious and expensive SUV model. There have been reports about a possible Q9 range-topper that uses the same underpinnings. The automaker has already “so many ideas …” in the back of its mind.” It will target the most luxurious Range Rover models and the Bentley Bentayga, if it is ever approved for production.
