It will be available in full soon.
The new BMW 7 Series will be available very soon. The full-scale debut of the all-electric model is scheduled for next month. We also expect the launch of the combustion-powered versions to follow soon. BMW has teased the luxury sedan several times and spy photographers have captured prototypes at various locations around the globe. Kolesa.ru based on these spy photos and preview images, has created two very accurate renderings.
Although it’s impossible to know if this virtual drawing accurately represents the actual design of the car, we can see that this preview is the most detailed we have seen so far. We have both good and bad news. Let’s begin with the good news.
The design direction of the new 7 Series and the i7 will be completely different from the one that was in place before. While the current 7er is stunning, it’s not hard to see why, we’re getting used to BMW’s evolution in design. These renderings show that the new sedan will keep its elegant appearance, but it will have a completely new front fascia.
The bad news is here. The front-end design is already controversial due to its extremely slim headlights. It is certain that we will adapt to it just as we did with M3 and M4, but initially this may prove to be difficult to swallow.
We are eager to see the next-generation 7 Series. The all-electric i7 will have 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) and be the most powerful. The range-topping, combustion-powered 760i will be powered by an electrified V8 engine that produces almost the same power, but likely slightly less.
Next month, we will have a full debut when we can confirm that this rendering is a true preview of the new 7 Series.
