Beautifully restored 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV

FJ Company is a shining example of what it can accomplish.

In recent years, Toyota Land Cruisers from the early days have been extremely collectible. The best Land Rovers are far more valuable than their great rival, the Land Rover. FJ Company has taken advantage of the enthusiasm for the FJ40 series Land Cruisers and created beautifully restored examples. This rare FJ45LV station wagon model is also included. This FJ40 model is one of the most rare. Only around 1000 FJ45LVs have been imported to the United States. It’s possible that only a few remain. This particular FJ40 was purchased by a Montana enthusiast many years ago with the intent of restoring it. After spending a decade searching for every part, he was forced to give up on the project due to health issues.

The FJ Company then acquired it. It was found to be heavily rusted but totally original. They found the original engine and gearbox still in the car. The huge inventory of meticulously cataloged and sealed parts included almost everything necessary to rebuild it to like-new condition.

In fact, they are probably better than new. Although these FJ Land Cruisers were constructed like nuclear bunkers in the 1950s, the quality of fit and finish was far from perfect even by today’s standards. These were still working vehicles. It looks like the FJ Company has restored this vehicle with an incredible level of care and attention.

Dubai collector bought the FJ45LV. However, it is currently on display at The FJ Company’s Miami showroom. It will also be displayed at SEMA in November. Ironically, even though they were more common during period, FJ Land Cruisers have become rarer than Land Rovers. Its ability to rust at even the slightest hint of rain is a testament to that.
