Bentley Continental GT V8 Convertible gets the Rainbow Treatment

Solidarity with the North West of England’s inaugural virtual Pride event.

Crewe will be participating in the first North West of England virtual Pride Event, in collaboration with Chesire East Council. Bentley has released a special Continental GT Convertible in line with this theme. It’s wrapped using the marque’s custom paint colors and comes in a rainbow theme.

This is not the first time an automaker has joined forces with Pride events. BMW U.S.A. also released a Pride-themed wrap last month 8 Series Convertible in celebration of Pride Month.

The Conti GT, which is wrapped in rainbows, represents three themes for Bentley: pride in the diversity of Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, as well as hope and gratitude, as the company emerges from the COVID-19 crises, and support for the local community.

Dr. Astrid Fontaine, Bentley’s Member of The Board for People, Digitalization and IT, stated, “We embraced our opportunity to build our first rainbow car, as rainbows are an icon for LGBTQ+ community and Pride events that celebrate individuality and which take place around June and July around the globe.”

The colors used for the convertible Continental GT with a rainbow theme were the same colors as the rainbow Bentley Bacalar that we saw back in May. Eleanor, a 5-year-old girl, was the one who came up with the idea and won the internal contest at the lockdown. Although the design was not realized in the limited Bacalar, it is at least possible in the Continental GT.

Cheshire East’s Virtual Pride 2020 will feature the rainbow convertible. It will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2020. The event will feature the vehicle in a video, as well as interviews with Bentley employees supporting the Pride celebrations.
