The W12 engine will produce 650 horsepower.
Bentley’s Mulliner bespoke division is working on a second model, the ultra-exclusive roofless model. Only 12 units will be produced. A new report by Autocar states that the two-door model is less exclusive and the production run could be extended up to 25 units. The fixed roof will be adopted and styling cues taken from the wild 2019 EXP 100 GT will also differ between the models.
This design is said to be a glimpse into future Bentley models that don’t have a combustion engine. Crewe will adopt cues from the design, which will then be used by pure electric vehicles. The front fascia, according to the same report will adopt a more aggressive theme and a new take on the corporate grille. It will also feature slim LED headlights.
Andreas Mindt will design the exterior of the car. Mindt also designed the 1999 Hunaudieres. Although the 22-year-old idea never saw production, it played an important part in the design of the Bugatti Veyron. The new coupe will feature beefy wheel arches and sleek taillights.
The twin-turbo W12 engine of the 6.0-liter W12 engine is found in the Continental GT Speed. It produces an astonishing 650 horsepower (485 Kilowatts) as well as 664 pound-feet (690 Newton-meters). The high-performance coupe can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h), and 208 mph (335 km/h). The new Mulliner coupe should offer similar performance and power.
The Continental GT Speed is based on the Continental GT Speed’s massive 440mm carbon-ceramic front brakes and stiffer suspension. This fancy coupe could be the beginning of the end of the W12. Autocar claims that the 12-cylinder powerhouse will be retiring “shortly following the launch of next Mulliner car.”
Price? This one is a must-see. Base version will start at PS1.5 million, which is close to $2M at current exchange rates. It will then rise to PS2M ($2.61M). The price of the highest-end Mulliner upgrades can drive the price up, making it the most expensive Bentley ever made.
