Luxury and speed in one package.
The new Bentley Flying Spur This luxury sedan is very fast, reaching a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h). However, new spy photos suggest that the brand is developing a Flying Spur Speed model with higher performance capabilities. This fast sedan should be capable of pampering its occupants with opulence at ridiculous speeds.
The Flying Spur Speed is a very similar model to the existing one, but it has some blacked-out features. The quad exhaust pipes, quad exhaust pipes, the mesh grille, strakes on the front fascia and B-shaped fender vents are now darker. This wheel has five sets of triple spokes with a dark gray finish.
The interior design of the Flying Spur is still unknown, but it can be expected that it will retain a luxurious cabin. Carbon fiber trim and other elements could be used to communicate Speed’s sporty personality.
The Flying Spur Speed uses a plug-in hybrid engine to increase its performance. The flap that covers the charging port at the rear of the driver’s side rear bumper can be seen if you close your eyes. According to Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the powertrain is the biturbo V8 hybrid of 4.0-liters. This setup produces 680 horsepower (507 Kilowatts) in this application. However, the Bentley could have a modified version.
The standard Flying Spur comes with a 6.0-liter twin turbo W12 engine that produces 625 horsepower (466 kW) as well as 664 pound-feet (897 Newton meters) of torque. In 3.8 seconds, the big engine can propel the sedan to speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h)
These spy photos hint at other mechanical changes. It appears that the ride height is a bit lower than it should, which suggests a stiffer setup. The front brake rotors are also larger.
The debut date of the Flying Spur Speed’s launch is still unknown. Because the standard version is not available until the beginning of the year, it seems safe to expect sales to begin in 2020.
