A new Continental GT Mulliner will be revealed by the company.
Bentley has something very special in store for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Adrian Hallmark, the company’s CEO, will announce the next project in its Mulliner division on Friday, June 24. After Bentley’s success in the Blower Continuation Series, and the Bacalar roadster, the “next chapter” is now.
Mulliner’s new build will combine “exceptional design, engineering, handcraftsmanship” and that’s all that we know about it. Based on Mulliner’s past cars you can see that the next Mulliner car could be new or old, or somewhere in between.
In 2020, the Bentley Bacalar was unveiled by Mulliner. It packs 650 horsepower (478kilowatts), and a modified Bentley Continental GT Convertible with only two seats. Although the company made only 12 examples, each one was sold for PS1.5m.
The Blower Continuation series in 2019 was responsible for putting the 1929 model back on the production line. Bentley produced 12 copies of the new series. It combines state-of-the art manufacturing techniques with traditional craftsmanship methods. Although we don’t know much about Mulliner, we believe Bentley will limit production to ensure exclusivity.
Bentley will bring along its new Mulliner project and a collection of other cars to showcase the car, including the new Flying Spur S and the new Continental GT Mulliner. The Blower Continuation Series car Zero will be racing up the hillclimb at the festival. Bentley will join a gaggle of automakers competing for attention at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
BMW announced that the M3 Touring wagon will be unveiled at the event. Porsche will also present a preview of its future with the 718 Cayman GT4 EPerformance. Ford teases ” something electrifying” at the festival. Travis Pastrana’s 863 horsepower 1983 Subaru GL wagon and the Polestar5 prototype will also rocket up the hillclimb. We don’t know everything, so there may be more surprises.
