This was the first time Bowmore’s steam-heated stills were used, which created the Black Bowmore single malt, which is very rare. Since 1993, it has been packaged only six times. There are approximately six thousand bottles available to the public.

The rarity of this particular run is also a factor in the cost. Although only 25 bottles will be available for sale, it is almost as expensive as a new C8 Chevrolet Corvette.
