It appears that it will get the curved display of the iX.
Our sense of time has been distorted over the past year, making 2019 feel both close and distant. The seventh-generation BMW 3 Series is here, but spy shots from the new batch show that the automaker is already planning for the mid-cycle refresh. Don’t let the early test vehicle fool your mind into thinking that the redesign is imminent. According to some reports, production will not begin until July 2022.
New photos show a familiar exterior. The exterior of this BMW test vehicle is identical to the current 3 Series. However, a closer look inside will reveal what’s actually happening. The dashboard is obscured by a black sheet. This is likely to hide the new curved display that was introduced in the BMW iX. It occupies a significant portion of the iX’s dash. also features a variety of functions and services, which may or not be available in every version of the screen.
BMW has plenty time to plan the exterior redesign, with production not starting until July 2022. The exterior will likely get the usual upgrades, including a revised front and back fascias, new trim and reworked lighting graphics. Although it’s too soon to know what BMW will do regarding its powertrains we expect more electrification, hybridization and other features throughout the BMW range.
iDrive 8 is a key part of BMW’s future. BMW’s Intelligent Personal Assistant is featured in the iX. It’s designed to facilitate communication between the driver of the vehicle and the system. The system focuses on dialogue- and voice-based interactions. This may not be everyone’s cup. This next-generation system allows for wide customization, giving each driver a customized driving experience. This is a big leap in technology, and it appears that it will be available in the 2023 BMW 3 Series.
