The 2018 BMW 5 Series is now powered by AC Schnitzer , the legendary BMW tuner. This includes the sedan as well as the wagon. AC Schnitzer is yet to have all the parts for this model as it’s still new on the market.

Two 5 Series models have already been upgraded by the company. The 540i can be upgraded to produce 400 horsepower (298 kilowatts) instead of the stock 340 horsepower (225 kilowatts). Diesel fans will be pleased to know that the company can now take the 530d’s 3.0-liter Inline Six to 315 horsepower (235kW) instead 265 horsepower (198kW). AC Schnitzer promises increased power for the HTML550i and 530i in the future.

A new exhaust can be installed by the tuner to make the engines sound more powerful. You can choose from a choice of two finishes for the stainless steel tips: a black or a chrome.

The tuner can offer revised springs regardless of the powertrain. These pieces reduce the front ride height by 1 inch (25 millimeters), and the rear by 0.8 inches (20mm).

AC Schnitzer offers a wide range of body parts for the 5 Series. BMW’s M-Technik packs can be equipped with more aggressive features, such as a front spoiler, splitter and side skirts. The sedan also comes with a rear wing and roof spoiler. The hatch can also be added to by wagon drivers. Carbon mirror covers are available for those who want a little more flash.

There are many upgrades available inside. AC Schnitzer has aluminum trim available for the pedals and a set of velour flooring mats.

The biturbo V8 produces 600 horsepower (441kW) and 516 pound feet (700 Newton-meters). You can choose to have the all-wheel drive system direct the output to the rear wheels.
