It’s not too far to make your debut.
The BMW Concept XM is revealed in a teaser. The tweet gives some details about the BMW Concept XM, including its “high performance,” “electrified” and “coming soon” attributes. The company suggests that the machine could be displayed at Art Basel, which runs December 2 through 4, in Miami Beach, Florida.
This vehicle could be BMW’s next flagship SUV. Although we have referred to the vehicle as the X8, the teaser suggests that BMW may use XM branding on the model. Both XM as well as X8 trademarks have been filed by BMW. X8 may be the standard model, while XM the performance variant.
Although the teaser shows only the Concept XM’s front, it is roughly comparable to the appearance of the Concept XM in spy photos X8. The large grille inlets have an angular shape. This design doesn’t have the large openings found in models such as the 4Serie or IX.
The spy shots show that the X8 has split-headlights while the Concept XM seems to have a single enclosure. Although both models have small running lights, this teaser shows them with a more sharp shape.
The Concept XM has a light strip at the roof. However, these lamps won’t be included on the production model. These lamps are fun to design.
In spy shots, the tiny openings in the hood at the base of each Apillar aren’t visible on the vehicles. These openings do not appear to direct air to vital components underneath the hood. We believe that the styling element might not be produced.
The XM reportedly features a twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 and an electric motor that adds 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts for ) to give it a total output around 750 hp (559 kW).
Rumours suggest that this concept will debut on November 29. This teaser is said to be a prototype in production of the product that will go on sale.
