bmw ix fully electric suv to top $100,000

According to reports, the unveiling will take place next month.

According to reports, the BMW iNext, or iX will soon be joining the Bavarian marquee’s lineup. A new report has surfaced that contains some interesting information about the all-electric crossover.

A report from BMWBlog suggests that the BMW iX could reach $100,000. This is due to its position within the BMW range. It is positioned around the BMW X5.

The BMW X5 ceilings are $82,000 when combined with the M50i. The iX is expected to be the brand’s next technological flagship. This means that the EV could have a higher price than the midsize sport activity vehicle.

Let’s not forget that the iX should still be priced competitively compared to close competitors, namely the Tesla Model X which is priced at $95,000 per Performance variant.

The BMWBlog report reveals that the BMW iX will offer a variety of range options. These can be as low as 249 miles (400 km) and as high at 373 miles (670 km) per full-charge. This is based on the WLTP cycle. Expect a Tesla-like variant in the upcoming EV SUV lineup.

These unconfirmed information should be taken with a pinch of salt as BMW is yet to confirm anything. A test of the BMW iX and iNext was done at the Nurburgring in various conditions, so a debut is very likely.

BMWBlog stated that an event digital will be held next month to showcase the electric crossover worldwide. Production will begin in November 2021. The official pricing will be announced a few months prior.
