It might be worth considering if you are speeding on Australian highways.

For many years, we have been covering cool Australian police cars. BMW M5 Competition and Porsche 911 Carrera, Lexus RC F and Lexus RS4 Avant, Lexus RC F and Honda Civic Type R – they all probably had them at some point. We also discussed a unmarked BMW M3 that was pulling over speedters a few years back. The latest version of the Bavarian sports sedan is now available for purchase Down Under.

It’s now equipped with all the required police car kit. It should be easy to spot from a mile away. Those huge kidneys will not be difficult to miss. Victoria Police officers will only be able to take part in the M3 Competition, as the powerful sedan is only temporary. You don’t see many police cars with carbon fiber roofs and spoilers on the trunk lids, as well as quad exhaust tips and large air intakes. The speed machine was recently delivered to the Victoria Police Highway Patrol, which will use it to “vehicle assessment and assessment processes.” The M3 was borrowed from BMW Australia, which means that it has not been bought outright using taxpayers’ money.

The story was similar with the AUspec M5 Competition police carback, in 2019, as it was also a loaner. Victoria Police returned it after one year. The latest entry, which is finished in Alpine White and rides on black alloy wheels has been assigned “special duties” within the state. The M3 Competition is not only its larger brother but also the 80 530d highway patrol vehicles that were introduced in 2018.
