The summer should see the full debut of M3 wagon.
We look forward to the first factory-built BMW stationwagon. The forthcoming HTML3 Touring is technically not the first to be made directly from BMW. As the video above shows, Just when you think you are in long-roof heaven, the video takes us to a secure area that shows us a new M3 car. It’s only a part of it. This teaser video is straight from BMW M YouTube. This teaser appears to be the first of a series that should lead to the unveiling of the 2023 BMW M3 Touring. We’ll give credit to BMW for capturing the interest of Bimmer enthusiasts like the E46 M3. It’s undoubtedly the most beloved version of the iconic sports sedan, right up there with the original E30. It’s a sure shot to get a photo or video of one in wagon form. Hardcore fans probably knew that an E46 M3 touring concept was available back in those days. But for the rest of us, take a short trip down memory lane. This is the only one that was made. It features subtle body modifications to allow the wagon body parts to blend with the M3 lines. The video shows that BMW had a lot of passion back then for making an M3 Touring.
The top brass deemed the M3 Touring and Audi S4 Avant rivalry too expensive. Bummer. This is not the case. The video shows a brand new BMW M3 Touring underneath a tarp. Surprised, the tarp is partially lifted and the rear clip of the estate can be seen in all its uncamouflaged glory. The lower fascia is aggressive, with its prominent diffuser in dark black contrasted with the silver exterior. The quad exhaust outlets are clearly visible, but the roof spoiler is also prominently highlighted. It’s 3D-printed and gives the car “the last kick,” according to the video.
The twin-turbocharged I6 (503 horsepower) version of the M3’s M3 engine will help to kick off that kick. This will be the standard-issue powertrain. It features the company’s xDrive all wheel-drive system with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The sedan can reach 60 mph in just four seconds. While the wagon is a bit slower, it’s still a practical estate that delivers a very good performance. Rumours of a M3 Touring debut in 2022 are now almost confirmed by an official M3 Touring teaser video. A full debut could happen sooner, however.
