According to reports, the sports sedan that is only available in automatic mode has M-specific headlights.
The M3 Touring will finally be available in 2022, but BMW also has big plans for 2023. Spy photographers have already captured a spicy M3 CS Sedan, and now there is a juicy rumor to help ease the wait. According to reliable sources from the BimmerPost forums the production of the limited-run special edition was moved from July to March 2023. It will be available for 11 months until February 2024.
The M3 CS’s inline-six 3.0-liter engine will be tuned to a hefty 540 horsepower. The twin-turbo mill known as the “S58”, which is codenamed M4 CSL , will be installed in the forthcoming . The Coupe Sport Lightweight will be officially revealed in May with a rear-wheel-drive-only layout. This sedan will be specced with xDrive and will take a more aggressive approach. Both models will only be available with the automatic transmission.
The spy photos confirm that the M3 CS will get front bucket seats as standard equipment. The same source claims that the M3 CS will be the first BMW model to include M-specific headlights. Although it won’t be subject to the CSL’s strict diet, the sedan will get plenty of carbon fiber to trim down on fat.
The M3 CS, although not mentioned in the report should be based upon the refreshed 3 Series that will debut this year. This is not because of styling changes, but to highlight the implementation of iDrive 8 infotainment. The M3 Touring, M4 CSL and yet-to be confirmed M4 GT/H should all follow the same pattern.
The M4 GT/H is a hand-built car that will be sold in the United States, according to reports. According to reports, the letter H stands for the manual gearbox’s “H pattern” and the car is largely based upon the CSL. This means that there are no rear seats. The electric adjustment for the front seats and the parking sensors will be eliminated to reduce weight.
BMW has a busy schedule for the M3/M4 lineup, including its impending LCI. The lineup will be extended with the launch of the i3 Sedan, which will be made in China for the local market. The long-wheelbase version will be used and the “i3” moniker will remain intact after the hatchback was discontinued in July.
