BMW M4 Fan Drawing Gives Hope For The Future

It is worth waiting to see if the real deal looks as good as it does in the movies.

We know that many Motor1.com users are eagerly awaiting the new BMW M4. The new 3Series was released last year. The next 4Series will be available later in the year. There is certainly high anticipation for this two-door. The Tobias Buttner rendering of the M4 above should prove that the wait is worth it.

It’s not easy to dial in the M4’s appearance. BMW said that the next 4 Series will not be a simple 3 Series with 2 doors. The coupe will likely draw inspiration from both its sedan stablemate and new to make its own place within the Bimmer lineup. We do see touches of both models in this extraordinary rendering. Although the grille is identical to the 3 Series, the front fascia features Z4 elements and large corner vents. This rendering also uses headlights that are identical to the 3 Series, but they have been removed from the middle for a flush design.

BMW will bring us a new BMW M4, and it should be aggressive in appearance. We don’t know what the engine will do, but the M4 has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that makes 425 horsepower (317kW) in the standard trim and 444 horsepower (331kW) with Competition. The HTML3_ next sedan will get the boosted six of the X3 M, which produces 473 horsepower (353kW), and there is no reason to believe that it won’t also endow the M4.

We still have a long way to go. The M3 and the new 4 Series will be debuting later in the year. The BMW standard timeline suggests that we won’t see M4 until 2020.
