It didn’t take too long.
However, this isn’t a BMW redesign. Prior-Design, a German tuner, shows us several ideas to change the face of the M4’s. All three show us a coupe which swaps out the large double kidney for something smaller. One head-on view essentially steals a grille from the larger, M8. However, the core of these designs offer unique makeovers that capture the essence of M4 without having to use the controversial grille.
Prior-Design is no stranger to body kits. Prior-Design has a range of products that include American brands such as Ford or Dodge. They also offer products for supercars in Italy and super sedans in Germany. These M4 updates are so appealing because they don’t look at a flight of fancy but something that should eventually become available for purchase.
After the design is finalized, it’s easy to swap a front fascia. All designs seem to keep the stock M4 hood & fenders. There are minor variations in the vents at the lower fascia, which some consider controversial. All completely eliminate the big grille.
The new M4 is a remarkable performance machine with as much as 503 horsepower (370kilowatts) coming from its twin-turbocharged I6 and going to the rear wheels. Although it’s not known when or how much these aftermarket upgrades will be available, we know that they could be enough to convince disgruntled customers to buy a new M4.
