A special edition with an expensive price tag.
As a nod towards the BMW race cars of yesteryear the corona rings at the headlights have been illuminated in yellow. The B-pillar is decorated with a laser-etched logo “1 of 8.” The “BMW Individual Manufaktur” lettering on the doors and the tailgate with the “1 of Eight” badge complete the exterior changes.
The interior was also modified by the German luxury marque. Floor mats that are unique to this edition are the exclusive floor mats. Additional clues indicate that it is not an ordinary M8 Competition Gran Coupe. To complement the gold bronze accents, all eight cars feature Merino leather upholstery in Taruma Brown.
The M8 Gran Coupe production will begin in March 2020. However, eight identical cars have been produced already. One car is being built for Germany’s domestic market, while seven others will be sold in the U.S., Russia. Japan. It is more than twice the price of the $110,000 M5 competition, which costs $230,000. It’s also more expensive than the V12-powered BMW M760i xDrive ($157,000), and the i8 Roadster ($163,300).
