The quad exhaust outlets on the unit should keep snow away.
The BMW four-door 8Series has been seen out and about many times, but this is a different vehicle. The black grille and huge brakes should be obvious, but the quad exhaust outlets at its rear will let you know that this is an M8. This was only the second time our photographers have captured it. Previously, we had the four-door in a city environment with snow patches. However, testing has now moved to the winter wonderland Sweden.
Although it might seem cliché to say that the M8’s hot appearance heats up the countryside, camo wrap is still a good choice. The M edition has a new front fascia, with more aggressive intakes than the standard 8 Series. Also, the darkened kidney grille looks much smaller than the 7 Series. Its lower stance and arching beltline gives the car an elegant yet aggressive appearance. The rear wing adds to the car’s unique look.
The M8 Gran Coupe is more than just a beautiful car with lowered suspension. According to our insiders, the flagship could produce as much as 630 horsepower (470 megawatts) using a modified 4.4-liter twin turbo V8. The same engine will power the M8 convertible and two-door M8 models. An M8 Competition model is also possible. The BMW 8 Series is BMW’s flagship car and the M8 its flagship performance vehicle. We have high expectations of this car and we believe they will live up to them.
We still have a lot of time before we can test those expectations. The standard M8 is not expected to arrive until the summer, and the 8 Series Gran Coupe hasn’t yet debuted. All indications point towards the M8 Gran Coupe arriving late this year or early 2020.
