You’ve likely heard that the BMW 3 Series Touring will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. It is believed that the long-roof M3 might follow it sooner or later. It will need to compete with other fast German wagons like the Mercedes-AMG C63 / C63 Estate and the Audi RS4 Avant.
Tobias Buttner , a long-time Motor1.com friend, has used his crystal ball and seen the future of the M3 Touring. He has been kind enough share his vision of the faster wagon. He also sent us renders of the sedan he’s already seen in testing, as well as a prototype that was heavily camouflaged.
We know BMW how to upgrade a car to earn the M badge. This gives us the impression that both digital exercises are very close to the real thing – if there is going to be an actual M3 Touring. The German automaker could probably engineer a more practical version of the sedan. We hope it happens this time. BMW enthusiasts who want more cargo space have waited for this car for years. It looks like it will finally happen. Fingers crossed.
