BMW Performance Power Kit 335i and 135i Launches in Geneva

This kit increases performance by 20 horsepower and up to 50 Nm of torque in BMW’s 3.0 Liter, twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. It is featured in the 335i, 135i, and 135i models.

BMW will present its Performance Power Kit for both the 135i & 335i at the Geneva Auto Show next month.

Both the 135i and 335i feature BMW’s 3.0 Liter, twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine. It produces a standard 306 horsepower and 400 Nm torque (295 lbft). The BMW Performance Power Kit increases that engine’s power by 20 horsepower to 326. It also boosts torque to 450Nm (332 lbft) with the automatic gearbox. Only a 430 Nm or 317 lbft increase is possible for the manual transmission.

The Performance Power Kit includes software tuning to improve engine management. It also features an extra radiator outside the engine, a high-performance fan on the main radiator and air flow ducts that help with heat transfer.

This kit is available on the following BMW models: 135i Coupe and 135i Convertible. The kit improves the performance of the 335i Saloon’s sprint from 0 to 100 km/h by 0.2 seconds, which is 5.4 seconds. The kit makes mid-range acceleration of 80-120 km/h half a second faster.

The Performance Power Kit can be used in conjunction with BMW’s 7 speed automatic sports transmission on both the BMW 335i Coupe or the BMW 335i Convertible.
