Although the video isn’t very detailed, the description provides all the information.
The new BMW M3CS is lighter and faster than the standard M3. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine is capable of producing 453 horsepower (337kilowatts) as well as 443 pound-feet (6600 Newton-meters of torque) in just 3.7 seconds. It also has a speed limit of 174 mph (228 kmh).
Although all these numbers sound promising on paper, what does the M3 CS look like on film? The M3 CS’s new video spot features the sports sedan and some equally powerful athletes. Although we don’t see the car actually putting its 453-hp (337 kW) engine to the testing, there are some key shots that provide a better view of the new M3.
The ad spot is a 1-minute, 29-second long. It’s called “The Icon.” Further Enhanced. Further Enhanced. The ad spot shows the powerful six-cylinder engine and its sports exhaust system. It also features the sleek interior. The ad also features BMW’s Nurburgring lap times (with a link on the BMW M website). This is the full description:
“The all-new BMW M3 CS standard production vehicle is the most powerful in the M3 series. A best time of 7:38 seconds on the Nordschleife at Nurburgring, and the everyday utility of a four door sports saloon make this the sporting icon.
The BMW M3 CS is currently the fastest sedan to lap the Nurburgring in 7 minutes 38 seconds. It is just a few seconds slower than the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio which completed the lap in 7:32 seconds. And it is exactly one second faster than the which completed the lap in 7:37 seconds. This lap time also tied the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
The BMW M3 CS will only be made in very limited quantities. Only 1,200 of this hardcore sedan will be made worldwide. Only 550 of them will make it to the U.S.
