The ad also features a cute, tiny Pegasus.
Super Bowl ad featuring the BMW iX electric crossover stars Arnold Schwarzenegger playing the role of the Greek god Zeus, and Salma Hayek playing the role of the goddess Hera. The commercial is funny and shows the deities moving from Mount Olympus, California to Palm Springs.
Zeus is not a good match for the modern world. Zeus enjoys lying by the pool and is a good swimmer, but he struggles to use light switches and microwaves. This is unusual for a god who controls electricity.
Things get even better when Hera arrives with a brand new BMW iX. Zeus is a big fan of the car, and Zeus enjoys listening to the Eddy Grant classic Electric Avenuewhile driving. Keep an eye out for the disclaimer at bottom of screen: “Immortal professional driving on closed course.”
The couple ends the ad singing along to the song. Zeus makes use of his power to make all traffic lights turn green by using electricity. Hera smiles knowingly at the camera.
This commercial of 60 seconds will be played during the Super Bowl’s third ad break.
