The SUV’s high-performance performance is currently going through its Life Cycle Impulse.
Like many Bimmers, the BMW X5 M also has its Life Cycle Impulse (LCI), also called a facelift outside of Bavaria. Our Kolesa friends tried to predict how that would look using unofficial renderings based on the most recent spy photos taken outside of Munich.
Updates to the front and back of the refreshed model are planned. We’ve seen prototypes that try to hide both ends using camouflage. These renderings however show what we know already, like the new grille at the front and intakes on lower bumper.
The rear end looks similar to the previous model. The center will have a recessed section for a 3D effect. Other elements, such as the M-exclusive quad exhausts that flank the diffuser, appear to have been retained.
Although the updates will be minor, they should be sufficient to keep this high-performance SUV in good condition. These renderings show a very handsome high-rider.
These renderings do not show the anticipated updates inside the facelifted X5M. They will be housed in a two-screen setup that includes infotainment as well as instrument. They are also expected to be available for the BMW 3 Series.
BMW doesn’t want to update its LCI models powertrain, which we believe will remain the same for the X5 M. However, the powerful twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine, still producing up to 617 horsepower, is expected to arrive with facelifted model.
In the next few months, the regular BMW X5 will arrive with the X5 M. These renderings may give us a glimpse of the future, but we will have more information by then.
