The Z4 M40i now boasts 400 horsepower.
AC Schnitzer, a German tuner, introduced the aftermarket program for 2020 Toyota Supra. Now it’s available from BMW You will find a variety of goodies to cover all bases. While the Z4 M40i is the highlight of this package, there are many upgrades available for other versions.
The M40i range-topper’s turbocharged straight six engine produces 382 horsepower. If you buy one in the United States, it packs a lot of punch. Europeans will have to accept 340 horsepower due to stricter emissions regulations. AC Schnitzer is able to boost the engine’s power to a healthy 400 horsepower. The torque increases from 500 Newton-meters (369 pounds-feet), to 600 Nm (443 Lb-ft). According to the tuner, additional power upgrades are in the works for the 30i and the 20i versions. They will be able to go beyond the current 258 HP & 400Nm / 295 Lb-ft and 236 hp respectively.
AC Schnitzer created a more aggressive body kit that includes a front splitter as well as a rear spoiler. The receives chunky side skirts as well as hood vents. Standard wheels are replaced with custom 20-inch alloys in two designs. A suspension lowering kit can be used to match the new shoes. This brings the convertible closer by 25mm (nearly one inch).
An adjustable suspension can be purchased for the M40i at an extra cost. A quad exhaust system can also be ordered from the Aachen-based tuner to fool people into thinking it’s the Z4 M BMW has promised it won’t make.
The cabin has also seen some changes. The two-seat roadster received an aluminum set behind the steering wheel. There are more aluminum pedals, footrests and the key holder, if you want to really go all out. AC Schnitzer also offers a 5-year warranty to ensure your security.
