BMW’s Monthly Subscription Plan now as low as $1,099

Announcement of a new subscription plan for Icon entry-level subscribers

A few major automakers are trying subscription programs. Brands like Mercedes-Benz and Porsche were the first to offer such a service in America. Bavarian marque offered two of its most expensive options: the Legend Plan at $2,000 per month and the M Plan at $3,700 per month. But now, the company has a new entry-level option.

The Icon plan, which costs $1,099 per month, is basically the Mercedes base plan. You can access cars like the 330i, the 330e iPerformance and the X3, as well as the M240i convertible and fully-electric I3. BMW has also reduced the price of its other subscription options. The Legend Plan now costs $1,399 while the M Plan, which grants access to models such as the M5, M5 M, M6 M, M4 Convertible and X5 M is now $2,699.

Other conditions for BMW’s service program are unchanged. Additional $575 will be required to join the program. Clients must also commit for at least 32 days. A $200 fee allows clients to pause their subscription. BMW will provide a full tank of gasoline for delivery. Users are responsible for any gas they use.

The program is currently limited to Nashville. Customers can still get a new BMW model within a matter of hours. Bavarians recommend giving a few days notice to ensure the vehicle has a maximum range of 2,000 miles (3.219 kilometers). Unused distance can be rolled over to the next month, and there is a 50-cent-per-mile fee if you exceed the limit.

Porsche offers a similar program in Atlanta, Georgia known as Passport. The cost is $2,000 per month, and you can access 22 cars. Cadillac’s Book Service is only available in New York and costs $1,500. Lincoln’s Subscription Program is only available to California customers.
