DS Automobiles started the week strong with the unveiling its DS9 flagship model. Now it’s doubling down with its Geneva reveals by introducing the Aero Sport Lounge. The brand’s new luxury sedan will be produced, but this coupe-SUV hybrid is a concept to show its EV ambitions. Its sleek design and sheer size make it stand out. The concept measures five meters (196.8 in) long.
The DS Aero Sport Lounge is a huge lounge that sits on 23-inch wheels with an aerodynamically optimized design. It has a steep roofline that gives the feeling of soaring. Coupe . A screen surrounds the prominent grille that you would find on a car with a combustion engine. DS Automobiles Logo that lights up to let you know what you are looking at. The concept’s avant-garde design is further enhanced by the use of matrix LED technology in its headlights.
The electric motor that produces 671 horsepower is the driving force behind the polarizing SUV. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. An electric motor is powered by a 110-kWh battery that’s mounted on the floor. It has enough juice to provide a remarkable range of over 404 miles (650 km).
Although images of the concept’s cabin have not been made available, DS Automobiles claims it has “reinvented” the interior. The screens are connected to the exterior cameras and each occupant is given additional displays. The infotainment system also features haptic control technology that allows you to “feel like touching shapes and textures in an empty space.”
PSA’s premium section will display the DS Aero Sport Lounge at the Geneva Motor Show along with the DS 9 starting March 3. Although the concept is not yet in production, Beatrice Foucher (CEO DS Automobiles) does hint at something similar.
