Brabus will present the B63S upgrade for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and Shooting Brake at Geneva next week.

Brabus will present the modified CLS 63AMG, which is based on the SL 65-based 800 Roadster. Under the bonnet is the same V8 5.5-liter engine but it now outputs an impressive 730 HP (537 kW) and electronically-limited 1,065 Nm (785 lb-ft) whereas the 2014 CLS 63 AMG S-Model provides “only” 585 HP (430 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).

Brabus installed two custom turbochargers that had larger compressor units to generate a higher boost pressure than the stock turbos. Brabus also installed an extra low temperature water-to-air cooler and remapped engine’s ECU. The package also includes free-flow metal catalysts, 75mm wide downpipes, and a limited slip differential. The Shooting Brake and CLS 63AMG have a sport stainless steel exhaust system that includes a butterfly valve, dual ceramic-coated tailpipes and a two-piece ceramic-coated dual header.

All these improvements mean that the cars can go from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h), in 3.8 seconds. This is 0.6s faster then the CLS 63AMG (non-S-Model) and 0.7% faster than the Shooting Brake. Still faster is the S-Model, which can sprint in 3.6 seconds with the four-door coupe or 3.7 seconds with the Shooting Brake. The stock versions are electronically-limited to 155 mph (250 km/h), but the Brabus CLS 63 AMG will do 217 mph (350 km/h) while the Shooting Brake is limited at 186 mph (300 km/h) “out of consideration for the tires”.

Both cars have the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS7G-TRONIC transmission. The wind tunnel-developed carbon-fiber front spoiler, fender attachments with backlit logo and fender attachments have been kept. Brabus offers a variety of 19-inch and 20-inch wheels.
