You can choose which side you prefer.
Brabus can make a unique vehicle like the Mercedes-AMG G63 even more attractive. German tuners were the first to upgrade the G’s revamped model, and they went all-out with the 700 Widestar. We were able to see the complete customization package a few months ago, thanks to YouTube star Tim Burton. Shmee150.
This is the 2019 G63, an already formidable machine. But this redesigned version goes even further. Brabus’ version of the off-roader is 10 cm (3.9 inches) wider than the standard model. It rides on 23-inch wheels that, strangely, are different on each side. We would choose the passenger side because it suits the SUV better, not only for the design but also because it allows us to see the huge disc brakes and orange calipers.
Although it does look intimidating, we are not fond of the carbon-fiber hood scoop that was installed for aesthetic purposes. It doesn’t serve any functional purpose. Brabus installed a carbon-fiber spare wheel cover for the first time. We aren’t sure how much it will cost. The roof-mounted rear spoiler, also made of carbon fiber, is available for those who are willing to spend more.
Brabus style, almost everything inside the Mercedes SUV was modified, right down to the upholstery. For a more sophisticated look, the aluminum treatment has been applied to the side sills.
The twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 has been re-engineered to produce 691 horsepower (or 700 PS, as indicated in the model’s title). This is an increase from the previous 577 hp. The torque has been increased from 627 pound-feet (685 Newton meters) to 701 pounds (950 Nm). The Brabus 700 Widestar can now go from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds and reach 149 mph (245 kph). This is not bad for such a heavy brick.
